Welsh has a reputation for being a difficult language to learn.  In reality, once you have understood the basics of certain unfamiliar features, it is no more difficult than any other European language.  

This book begins with the basics of the Welsh alphabet, with easy-to-follow exercises.  There is also a section on numerals, telling the time, and two colour-coded dictionaries at the back of the book  - one being a Welsh-English dictionary and the other an English-Welsh dictionary.   The reader is taken through a step-by-step guide on the use of adjectives and adverbs, pronouns and prepositions, which are all colour-coded, so the reader has a visual understanding as to which part of speech is being addressed.   An invaluable book to have in schools where Welsh is taught as a second language.
